Our Philosophy
Anabaptist Financial and Anabaptist Foundation are guided by a core set of beliefs.
Humble dominion
The heavens and earth were created by God and pronounced good. Through Christ, we become joint heirs of His kingdom, and through meekness we inherit the earth. As stewards, He calls us to be productive and have humble dominion over the material and spiritual reality.
Honest labor
As we mature into master builders, Christian businesses and investments should be managed in humility, through honest labor, and with integrity. Christian business is Christian ministry that integrates spiritual grace and material goods into a seamless enterprise with Christ.
Bible teaching
The Bible teaches, warns, commands, leads, and provides sufficient spiritual guidance in the matters of material prosperity and poverty. The scripture fully equips us to avoid the snares of prosperity, but also empowers us to intentionally participate in building the kingdom with material prosperity. As a stewardship organization, we are called to teach biblical stewardship and provide competent counsel on planned charitable giving and investments within the brotherhood.
Financial fellowship
The fundamental purposes of stewardship are to expand the kingdom and enrich Christian fellowship. All should equally bear the burden of responsible productivity. However, those who produce material goods beyond their needs should joyfully share their goods with those who are in need. This mutual aid within the brotherhood creates an interlocking relationship between giver and recipient that bonds them in fellowship and oneness.
Kingdom investment
Assets and money owned by Christians should be reinvested within the kingdom of Christ, rather than in the kingdom of this world, as much as is possible. Reinvesting kingdom money back into our Anabaptist faith captures a double value of mutual gain and mutual aid within brotherhood.
